The National Partnership fosters scientific collaboration, and our Activity Groups provide the opportunity for science teams to come together and exchange ideas, ensuring effective and efficient science developments aligned to the needs of National Partnership for Ocean Prediction’s stakeholders. Information on these groups is provided within these pages.
In contrast, there are some activities that are part of the business as usual, for example in the planning, and carrying out of outreach and engagement type activities (for example maintaining web pages, workshop preparation and engagement on relevant committees). These activities are generally led by the Executive Committee.
It is the intention that the National Partnership for Ocean Prediction wherever possible is sustained through funded activities. Therefore, a number of Activity Groups will be in the form of Project Development Teams, with the time-limited aim of ensuring key activity areas are done under funded activities.
